Bryan T. Wood, PE, PhD - Birmingham Branch Manager, Birmingham Office

Bryan Wood combines a Ph.D. in structural engineering and an MS degree in geotechnical engineering with over 13 years of heavy industrial design and structural diagnostics experience. With Sutton-Kennerly & Associates, Inc. since 2002, Bryan is currently the manager of our Birmingham, Alabama office. As a result of a strong technical background and extensive construction experience, he is a practical and results-oriented engineer with unique problem-solving capabilities.

Bryan has been involved in all areas of structural engineering, including condition assessment and diagnostics of structures, nonlinear earthquake analysis and resistance of structures, and geotechnical analysis and design. His diagnostics experiences include deteriorated concrete and steel structures, concrete mix design problems, slab-on-grade placement and cracking problems, failure of steel structures due to instability, volume change effects of precast, prestressed concrete structures, and troubleshooting machine vibration problems.
