CADD Technician – SKA has an opening in Asheville, NC for an experienced CADD Technician with a 2 to 4 year technical degree and at least 2 years of AutoCAD design experience.  Responsibilities include preparation of electronically-generated drawings for commercial, institutional and industrial projects.  You may also assist our engineers in coordination with other disciplines, review of shop drawings, field data collection or system verification, testing, preparation of bid documents and specifications.


CADD Technician – Wilmington, NC office of Sutton-Kennerly & Associates, Inc. seeks a full-time CADD technician who will assist civil, materials and structural engineers with investigations and preparation of detail drawings for building remediation projects.  A 2-4 year technical degree, knowledge of AutoCAD 2008 and occasional overnight travel required.  Experience in roofing and/or building facades and 2-5 years experience a plus.

Engineering Interns (E.I.) – Building Investigation & Diagnostic Dept. is actively seeking entry-level bachelor’s or master’s degree candidates in engineering with emphasis on structures or construction materials.  Prefer E.I. registration by graduation; must be obtainable within six months.  Responsibilities include assisting Professional Engineers with field assessments, technical reports, remedial designs, contract documents, specifications and contract administration.  Positions are in Birmingham, AL, Charlotte, NC and Wilmington, NC.


Engineering Intern (E.I.) – Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineering Department in Greensboro is seeking an entry-level bachelor’s or master’s degree candidate in mechanical engineering.  Prefer E. I. registration by graduation; must be obtainable within six months.  Will assist senior level engineering staff in execution of technical activities required on a variety of challenging industrial, commercial and institutional projects, including production of drawings and specifications, technical studies and investigations.


Engineering Intern (E.I.) – Structural Engineering Department in Greensboro is seeking an entry-level bachelor’s or master’s degree candidate in civil engineering (emphasis structures).  Prefer E.I. registration by graduation; must be obtainable within six months.  Will assist senior level engineering staff in execution of technical activities, including completion of calculations and development of 3-dimensional structural models for building components as required on a variety of challenging industrial, commercial and institutional projects.  Responsibilities also include production of drawings and specifications, technical studies and investigations, and construction administration.


Structural/Materials Engineers (P.E.) – Building Investigation & Diagnostic Dept. in Greensboro and Charlotte has openings for experienced Professional Engineers.  Suitable background required in evaluation and design of repairs to building facades and construction materials such as concrete, masonry, stone, stucco, EIFS and structural steel.  Challenging projects involve field assessments, technical reports, remedial designs, contract documents, specifications and contract administration.  Limited travel.  NC PE required or obtainable within 6 months.


Structural Engineer (P.E.) – Structural Department in Asheville has an opening for an experienced Professional Engineer.  Position requires a master’s degree in civil engineering or 3 or more years of applicable experience, or a B.S. degree in civil engineering and 4 or more years of applicable experience and demonstrated ability to actively participate in design and analysis required on substantial projects.  Suitable background will also include preparation of contract documents, specifications, and contract administration for challenging projects in new construction and renovation of commercial, institutional and industrial facilities.
