Sutton-Kennerly & Associates has grown from its beginning as a one-man office in 1957 to a multifaceted firm with a region-wide reputation for providing quality design services. Sutton-Kennerly has offices in Greensboro, Charlotte, Asheville, Wilmington, North Carolina and Birmingham, Alabama. As a full service engineering firm in business in North Carolina for 50 years, the firm has all the anticipated engineering disciplines in house. Sutton-Kennerly is owned and operated by a majority of its practicing engineering personnel, most with many years with the firm, both as employees and principals.

Depending on the type of project, the following engineering groups work either independently or together to provide clients with engineering design and construction administration services:
